Safe and Sound was Rupert's first release. The premise for the record was to keep it as organic as possible, so to use as little manipulation and processing of the audio files as possible. The recorded needed to sound real, as if performed in front of the listener, and the music is natural and organic and the sentiment heartfelt. Session musicians were used in order to get a variety of instrumentation throughout the record. Rupert wrote and produced Safe and Sound in Leeds, UK, in 2007.
